When these guys first sat down with me over a tea and described their plans for their forest wedding, I knew it was going to be something completely unique to them. A New Year’s Eve date was set and the venue was the family farm in Beechworth up in the High Country of Victoria.
The morning arrived and in good predictable fashion, Victoria delivered on the heat for the day which made for even more enjoyable Pimms later that afternoon. The ceremony took place up in the forest next to the farm and after leaving their guests on an old horse-drawn carriage, we spent a little time to take it all in with a walk through the pines. Often time on location is the only time of the day where couples can be alone together away from their guests so it’s important for me to create a safe place for them to “just be”.
A quick wardrobe change and Marlee entered the marquee reception dressed in an Indian Sari (#awesome!) Feasting, speeches and dancing followed and the finale of this epic night was the sparkler light-up and countdown for New Year 2017.
I hope you enjoy their story as much as I enjoyed capturing it..
